currently Head of Flute (UCT), studied in Cape Town, Vienna and London. Alternate Principal in the Cape Town Symphony Orchestra and CTPO for 16 years. Nerina has performed as soloist with the CTSO and CAPAB orchestras, records for the SABC and is a well-known recitalist and chamber musician. Violinist Gabor Jeney ... born in Hungary, studied in Budapest at the Bela Bartok Conservatoire and London's Royal College of Music. Dedicatee of Britten's "Gemini Variations", he recorded for Decca and BBC before touring Europe and the USA. After holding a CTSO principal post for 16 years he is now cape Town's best known freelance violinist. Hungarian Donat Pellei ... studied at the Franz Liszt Academy, winning the Franz Liszt Double - Bass Prize (1987). He received two Performing Diplomas with distinction. Donat toured Europe with 3 Hungarian orchestras before joining the CTSO and CTPO as Sub-Principal Bass, and now actively teaches and concertizes. |
